Mediaware plans to tap outdoor media business

Pradipta Mukherjee / Kolkata
Mumbai-based Mediaware Infotech, the software solutions company for the advertising and media industry, is planning to tap the out-of-home media companies in Kolkata for its recently developed enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Although Mediaware currently services a few advertising agencies in Kolkata like Rediffusion DY&R, RK Swamy and Madison, along with a few local agencies, it is now targeting the media companies of Kolkata.

According to Biswajit Das, CEO of the company, "So far, Kolkata was a low focus area for us because of the earlier business climate. With the resurgence of Bengal, we are planning to increase our client base in Kolkata. We have also prepared a range of software offerings for broadcasters, publications, ad agencies, online media as well as corporate advertisers, in addition to out-of-home media companies. We plan to first pitch to the outdoor media companies in Kolkata and grow our business here."

According to Mudit Raniwala, Head-OOH Group, Mediaware's OMW software covers the complex process of site acquisition right up to client billing, which includes budgeting and monitoring, site erection and maintenance expenses, tendering for municipal or government sites, preparing outdoor plans and estimates, executing outdoor schedules and logging related expenses, culminating sales invoices along with debit notes, credit notes and an exhaustive set of management reports.

Raniwala said, “The entire system is designed keeping in mind the new formats and technology break-throughs that the out-of-home media companies are vying for.”

The out-of-home (OOH) media is also taking the shape of broadcasting, which is clear from the increasing number of TV screens mounted at strategic locations. In fact, the resemblance to television is very close in case of content-led companies like Wall Street Journal who have launched OOH digital arms.

In some cases, the content delivery route also follows the satellite TV route with content being uplinked to a satellite transponder and downloaded via C-Band antenna, though many players prefer the cheaper IP route for delivery.

But in both cases, the process remains the same – from monitoring TV screen installations and footfalls to scheduling ads for each individual screen to monitoring and client billing, Raniwala pointed out.

“Mediaware’s OOH module addresses this aspect of the business and gives the OOH media companies a comprehensive solution to meet all their needs,” added Raniwala.

The outdoor medium for advertising is becoming increasingly competitive with the advent of highly professionally managed groups like Laqshya Media, Future Group, OOH Media and Reliance along with the enrty of large international players like Clear Channel, Stroer & JCDevaux.

According to market data, the OOH media is reportedly growing at 15 per cent year on year and is expected to touch Rs 1,150 crore in 2007.

Teenage entrepreneurs get off to a good start in business

AT the age of 14 most teenage boys are likely to be found engrossed in computer games or playing sport in their spare time. But at 14 Fraser Doherty was busy making jam, after his grandmother taught him a recipe that had been handed down through generations of his family.

Unhappy that traditional jam contained high levels of sugar, he decided to make a much healthier version by using natural grape juice instead of sugar, and fruit such as blueberries and cranberries that are particularly high in nutrients and vitamins.

Doherty started selling jars of his jam door to door near his parents’ home in Edinburgh. As interest grew, his hobby started to turn into a business. He now makes 40,000 jars of jam a month, Tesco has begun stocking his SuperJam in 230 of its stores, and Doherty is well on his way to making his first million.

Doherty is one of a growing number of young people in Britain who have become entrepreneurs at a very young age. The traditional view is that it is impossible to start a successful business without gaining years of knowledge and experience, but teenagers like Doherty are proving that energy and confidence can win over age.
According to a recent Generation Entreprise report by City & Guilds, 48% of young people aged between 16 and 25 said that they wanted to start their own business instead of getting a job. The survey of more than 1,000 young people also found that almost half of them knew someone under the age of 30 who already had their own business.

Doherty, who has been chosen to represent Britain in the Global Students Entrepreneurs Awards in Chicago next month, said there are several advantages to having started young: “As a young person you have a different view of the world. You have a naviety and an optimism and are willing to try things out. I have always been willing to give something a shot and take a bit of risk. The downside for me isn’t particularly scary. I don’t have a mortgage or kids to worry about so I didn’t have a huge amount to lose if my idea had not worked.”

Doherty, who is taking a year or two out from studying management and accountancy at Strathclyde University to focus on expanding his business, added: “I can’t think of much more that I could be doing right now that I would enjoy more than this. It gives me so much excitement. I can constantly set my own challenges and achieve whatever I want to.”

Duncan Cheatle, founder of The Supper Club, a forum for established entrepreneurs in London, agreed that becoming an entrepreneur at a young age has a lot to recommend it.

“When you are young you are not conditioned or constrained by your experiences, which can be a real problem for people coming out of the workplace,” he said.

“For young people there is no concept of thinking outside the box, because there isn’t a box. There is a capacity in young people to see things in a different way that older people lose. And often not being an expert in something can be helpful because if you don’t understand why something works in a certain way you will decide to do it differently.”

Cheatle said that, contrary to popular belief, being young can sometimes open doors because successful older business people are often keen to help young people progress. “Older people are often very impressed that someone has got the guts and gumption to develop the product or service and then to pick up the phone and ask to speak to someone quite senior.”

Another teenager busy breaking the entrepreneurial mould is Louis Barnett, who at the age of 15 has just become Waitrose’s youngest supplier with his Chokolit chocolates.

Barnett, who has dyslexia, dropped out of school at the age of 11 to study at home with the help of a tutor and since then has turned his love of making chocolate into a fully-fledged business.

What sets his chocolates apart from the competition is they come in an edible chocolate box, an idea Barnett came up with when he was looking around for an alternative to wrapping his chocolates in expensive packaging. He called his business Chokolit because he writes phonetically and that is how the word appears.

Barnett said: “Some people might think my occupation is a peculiar choice for a teenager, but I am pursuing my dream just like David Beckham did, and nobody thought there was anything unusual about his chosen career.”

Other successful entrepreneurs who began young include James Murray Wells, who was 19 when he started his business GlassesDirect, which sells prescription glasses over the internet. The business now has sales of £3m.

Meanwhile, Adam Hildreth founded Dubit, an interactive website for teenagers, when he was 14 and it also has a turnover of close to £3m.

Shell Livewire, which has been providing inspiration, advice and practical support to young entrepreneurs aged between 16 and 30 for many years, is encouraged by the increase in the number of young people wanting to start their own business.

James Smith, chairman of Shell UK, said: “There’s no age limit on entrepreneurialism but some people have a natural business spark that’s evident from an early age. And more and more people are starting young; in the past three years, Shell Livewire has supported more than 70,000 young entrepreneurs. This spirit of entrepreneurialism among young people not only has obvious economic benefits but brings real social benefits too.”

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, the home business website, said that parents play a crucial role in encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs, not least because the vast majority of them start up their businesses from a room in their parents’ home.

She said: “At least 85% of the young people we have profiled on the Enterprise Nation website in the past six months are living in their parents’ home and running their business from there. Being cared for by their family and paying modest or no rent means that they are able to focus on their business and keep their overheads low.”

Jones said that young people were much more confident about using technology as a base for their business than the older generation. “Whole sectors that didn’t exist 10 years ago are coming up now because young entrepreneurs are defying all previous rules and saying technology means that we can do things like this. They have an open capacity to think of new ideas and as a result they are starting very interesting businesses.”

'Front-room start-ups need support'

by Sion Barry, Western Mail
A REPORT is calling for greater support and recognition for home businesses in Wales.

The Home Business Report, compiled by home business resource Enterprise Nation, has drawn up a 10-point blueprint which it believes, if adopted, will boost the Welsh economy and bring increased benefits to the environment and society.

The BT-sponsored report, unveiled at the launch of Small Business Week 2007, reveals that the home has now become the most popular business start-up location – accounting for more than 60% of all start-ups.

In Wales there are 105,237 home-based self-employed. The most popular reason (62%) for working from home in Wales was for a better work-life balance, with 42% citing lower overheads.

For the UK there are now 2.1 million home-based businesses.

The report shows that 60% of new businesses started from home. It also shows that more than 70,000 people in the UK are making a full-time living from online auction site eBay, while thousands mor are generating a level of income from trading online.

The highest growth in home business is coming from mums, young people and the over 50s.

The report praises the Welsh Assembly Government for taking home enterprise seriously and believes that with a firm focus on supporting home businesses, Wales will increase its share of home business ownership.

Research shows that in 2005-06 the number of home-based businesses in Wales increased by more than 5,000.

BT director Wales Ann Beynon said, “The rapid advance of communications technology is offering a wonderful opportunity for people to start and develop businesses at home.

“There are some wonderful success stories in Wales, but much remains to be done if we are to achieve the full potential that modern information communications technology affords us.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation and author of the report, said, “This report clearly shows the impact home businesses are having on the economy, environment and society.

“Every week, more than 1,400 businesses are started from home yet we believe there is potential to increase this still further, with some dedicated support from government and enterprise agencies.

“Home business owners are ambitious for business growth and they are making full use of technology to partner with others and trade online.

“I hope this report will be considered seriously by policy makers, so the UK can realise the full potential of home enterprise.” Ms Jones said home working brought benefits like the 60- second commute, increased productivity and time left over for family and friends.

She added, “Having the upside of these benefits does not in any way lead to a balancing downside of ambition.

“Ambitious business owners are making the most of outsourcing, sub-contracting and technology to increase their turnovers, while keeping the business at home.

“People no longer have to make the choice of a successful business or a happy home life.”

5 Ways To Find More Time with your High Speed Income Business

by Trisha Frauenhofer
Managing time is one of the most popular flaws in today's at-home High Speed Income business owner. For obvious reasons, time management is difficult when working at home. So, how does one keep on track to get the work done?

Here are 5 ways to manage your time better.

1. Do not let other people's plans get in the way of yours. When you are working really diligently on a project and you then get a phone call from a customer or friend, it is important to not let them monopolize your time. You can simply ignore the call, or politely tell them that you are working now, and will get back to them later at a certain time. People will eventually understand this.

2. Take the time to train your assistants. If you have people working for you, it is highly important that you schedule time out to train them as you go. If you don't, there is no point in having them at all. They have to know how to do what you want them to. Even though it may take some time to train them, it is worth it in the long run and will save you more time later on. When having a home business, it is important to have a good filing system working well. Organization is key. If you are not highly organized yourself, you can teach your assistant to be.

3. When working on a problem, and you get stuck, go to something else with the intent of coming back to it later. It is important o get things done and get things done well. However, if you are stumped, it may mean that you need a little time away from the issue for a while. Sometimes moving to a different subject actually gets your brain working to solve the problem from before.

4. Make things automatic that are routine. Auto responders are great tools to make every day tasks automatic so you barely even have to think about them getting done. From letters that need to be sent out, to questions that need to be answered over and over, an auto responder can save you loads of time.

5. If you are not setting aside time to review your business, you must do so. It is important to take a step back and analyze how your business is going. How have things progressed? What needs to be done in the future?

Controlling and managing your time is of the utmost importance. It is when you have this mastered, that you can actually start living your High Speed Income life with excitement. You will get more accomplished and won't always feel like you are behind. It is time to take control of your time. It is the only time you have.

The Official Web-Money-Manaul, Making Money Made Easy.

by Kevin Parker
Learn to make real spendable cash using your home computer. Making money has never been as easy as it is now days.

Many people are searching for ways to make money with out having to actually go out and get a part time job. I must admit I was one of them. I was one of those guys how did everything I could to try to put more cash in my pocket. I figured that if I worked multiple jobs I would eventually get to the point where I could scale back on working and enjoy my savings with family and friends. I guess this outlook was not a bad one to have but one day I was enjoying a day off of work with a friend of mine and I broke my leg and had to have major surgery on it. It cost me about ten thousand dollars to have my leg repaired. I lost all my savings and was out of work for five months during my recovery. I basically had no more money and no means of walking around. I was forced to set for long periods of time because of my leg,so I started looking into methods of making money buy using my home computer.

I searched night and day for months. I must of reviewed 50 different processes for generating money with a home computer. I found that most of these programs were not very good at walking a person through the step by step process of making real money with a home computer. I did actually find lots of articles online that gave bits and pieces of useful information on what really works. I spent about 6 months doing trial and error projects and loads of research just to see what worked and what did not. I did not start making real money until I got mad at all the scams I had been lead to through the internet and made up my mine to put together a real step by step manual on how to really make money with a home computer and internet access.

I spent about the next 2 months putting together my step by step manual for generating real cash by using only your home computer and internet access. I now own approximately 12 websites that give my a monthly income of over 12 thousand dollars a month, and heres the best part I figured out how to make this process generate passive income for my month after month. You may be saying to yourself "what does he mean by passive income ?" Well, simply stated passive income is an income that comes in month after month and you do not have to punch a time clock to make that money. I know many people that are doing this right now and until about two years ago I would of looked at suck a thing like this as a fairy tale.

I am now living that fairy tale and you can to. I will save you the six months of trial and error and research and have you making real money in your spare time from the comfort of your own home. This really works. To find out how you can do this for yourself go to

Home-Based Business Idea: Paper Recycling-An Easy Extra Income to your Pocket

by Ek Ing
Okay. I know this kind of job won't make you rich but collecting old newspapers and selling it to recycling plant in your area is one of the easiest ways of adding extra income to your pocket.

Stop "hushing" me. This kind of job isn't cool but if you are looking for home-based business to start with and on shoes string budget - This is perfect for you. If you are serious you could make around $ 300 or more every weekend. Hint....Hint..... ( You could do it on weekend basis - one day per week for $ 300 ? )

I agree with you. Selling your own stacks of used newspapers would not make you much money. But wait a minute! Think about the stacks of old newspapers belong to your friends, neighbors and people in your neighborhoods. Let's say for each house on your street, you manage to collect and haul away 10-pound stack of newspapers on every Saturday. How much money are you going to make? Did you get the picture here? Did you see the dollar signs here now? I know we get excited now.

Now prepare yourself and treat your recycling business like it's a million business. You would need a space as your storage. Clearing a space in your garage or an empty space of 8 x 12 place will be enough. Ideally, a dry-empty garden shed will be more than sufficient.

Like other business, you shall advertise your service. Inform your friends, Mom, or everyone you know that you are starting the recycling paper and you will collect and haul their old newspapers every Saturday.

You also shall advertise your service in your community newspapers, weekly shopping news, something like "James's Recycling Service. We collect and haul away for you. Junk. Old newspapers. Cardboard. Every Saturday. Call him: 512-667"

Another device for your business is open pick-up truck, if you don't have -- rent an open trailer and hitch it to your car. And here you are ready to run your business. As to the staff ...yes, I almost forget. You also need few people to help you around and since you are just starting your business and on tight budget it is ridicule to hire helpers. You shall be the boss also the employee.

Once you business grow, you may consider it. But for the time being, take your wife and children for a family weekend ride your neighborhood and start making your rounds. Visit the people you've talked to on your block first then expand to next block and the next, driving up and down the streets, visiting, stopping at all the homes, in an ever expanding ripple from your own street.

When your trailer is full of old newspapers, you can either take them directly to your recycling plant and sell the load, or take them to your storage area, unload them, and get everything organized. It's very important, though, that you get right back to the job of knocking on doors and collecting more newspapers and cardboard. One load won't make you rich or even really pay for your time. Get right back on the job and collect as many loads as the daylight hours will allow.

Make the same rounds; follow the same collection routes, at least once every two weeks. Once you've got the routine working well, you'll be ready to hire a couple of high school or college students to help, perhaps with another car and trailer.

The best way to pay your help is with a percentage of the tonnage you sell. And then too, once you have it all together, you'll want to go with a truck or trailer that allows you to haul a couple of tons of paper per load.

If you are serious about this business, you have the opportunity to expand your business to a wider scope. You could open a local recycling depot in your neighborhood and people come to you dropping by with armloads of newspapers for you from time to time as well.

Even though you have a collection depot, you'll still want to continue your weekend collection rounds. But with a collection depot, you don't have to do it yourself. You can hire other people to do the driving, knock on doors, make the collections and transfer their loads into the depot facility. If it's a big truck or trailer, you'll be selling ten to fifteen tons of paper whenever you make your trips to the recycling plant. Now you get the whole picture how much money you are going to make from this kind of business. I believe you don't need to feel embarrassed and don't "hush" me again.

Customer Satisfaction Guidebook

Author: John Fortner
What is the most important part of your internet business? It is not your product! It is not your marketing plan! It is not your profit! The foundation of your home based enterprise is your customers. And the success of your online venture is dependent upon your relationship with your clients.

The reality of making money online is no customers = no money. It is essential that your clients know they are the most important resource you have if you want to enjoy success with your work from home venture. Your ability to give customers the satisfaction they need should be the top priority when you are developing your home based business. But what is customer satisfaction?

Customer satisfaction is providing your clients with an environment that gives them assurance and re-assurance every time they interact with you or your internet business. The communications that you develop with your customers through phone conversations, E-mails, written correspondence and body language are sending a message. If your goal is to achieve online success then you need to inform your buyers that you are committed to addressing their needs and alleviating their concerns. Let's apply this concept to an online home based business.

Remember the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Put yourself in the position of your buyer. If you were the customer, how would you want to be treated? Apply this idea to the relationship that you have with your home business customers. Simply put, treat every client as if the success or failure of your work from home business is dependent upon this transaction. Customer service is about good attitude and positive communication. Both must work together for your clients.

With an online business, most of the contact you have with your customers is by phone or through E-mail. Are you a good listener? Are you a good writer? The internet is an impersonal place but the quality of your communication skills can overcome this obstacle. Inform your clients about what is happening on all levels of the current transaction. Tell them that your goal is their satisfaction in all of your correspondence.

Inform your buyer when you receive their order and when you ship their products. Tell your customers who is delivering their merchandise and when they can expect their package. If there is a problem, let them know immediately. Prepare yourself for the inevitable situations that will occur. You will get angry phone calls and flaming E-mails from unhappy buyers even when you have a home based business.

When your dissatisfied customer calls, let them vent their frustration. After they finished, ask what you can do to resolve this situation to their satisfaction. Be willing to compromise. Remember, you have been an unhappy buyer as well. In works the same way with E-mails. The customer has vented through their correspondence. Send them an E-mail and start showing your concern through your willingness to resolve the situation. Keep in mind that the success or failure of your home business is dependent on this circumstance.

When you analyze your communication skills, what are your strengths? Listening? Writing? Speaking? At the other end of the spectrum, what are your weaknesses? If a successful internet home business is your goal what will you do to achieve your prosperity? Do your communication skills need a tune-up? Your customers are your most important asset Invest in yourself to improve all aspects of your relationship with them.

The success or failure of an internet home business is dependent upon one thing, your customers. Without this vital ingredient, you will not succeed. If you strive to give your clients an environment where they feel wanted and appreciated, they will come back. Not only will they return, they will bring their friends with them. Focus on making customer satisfaction your number one priority and you will be planting a seed that will grow into your online business success.

Discovering the Right Pricing Strategy For Your Products and Services

Author: Court Tuttle
Helping a company to succeed and sustain growth can be very complex and leaders of companies have to create different strategies that will most effectively help the company to be financially successful and continue to grow. Some of these difficulties include the regulation of employees and workers, inventing successful marketing techniques that will increase the customer base, and even thinking of ways to increase the company's profitability in the future. Whatever the complexity might be, a business must continue to fight for its right to survive in the business world and also to continue to grow and be successful.

The top concern that business leaders have to deal with is the maintenance and caretaking of the things that they sell. Business owners have the responsibilities of determining how to create such products or services and then more importantly how to administer and make them widely available to as many customers as possible. These two responsibilities can be somewhat difficult and complex, and will largely determine if the business is successful or an ultimate failure.

Finding a place to make the products and even somewhere to distribute them all across the world is not too big of a concern for most people. The trickiest part comes when the company tries to distribute and sell the products or services to as many clients as possible. They must come up with very creative and unique marketing strategies that will increase the product or service's popularity and increase the customers' desire to purchase such things.

The biggest and most complex task that company leaders have to address is how to price the products or services. This skill can be very tricky, especially when your company has to compete with the prices of other companies' products or services and attract more customers. The process of fixing prices is a skill that must be regulated and adjusted constantly throughout the company's life.

Many different pricing techniques can be used if leaders are hoping to make the company successful in its given industry. If followed, these strategies will help secure a business' financial future and enable it to survive against the opposition of other businesses.

The most important objective for many businesses is to secure the lowest prices in comparison with anyone else in the industry. Such examples of this type of strategy include large supermarket chains such as Wal-Mart, K-mart, and Target. They constantly strive to price their products lower than anyone else, which helps to increase the amount of customers that come into their stores.

Many businesses like to organize their prices in such a way so that when customers buy many of the same products they receive reduced prices. It acts as a reward and also an incentive that encourages purchasing more products and receiving a lower price. Companies use this technique and strategy a lot to increase the amount of dollars that customers spend in their stores.

Start your own Home Based Business from These Steps

by TL Kleban
Are you looking to start your own successful, home-based business? I don't blame you. Who wouldn't want to roll out of bed and work in your pajamas? It's isn't all fun and games, however. Starting a home based business is a lot more difficult than you may imagine. The reason why people start their own business is not for the luxury of staying home but actually it is because the rewards can be great.

The ones lucky enough to find a profitable niche in a particular market find themselves with a steady stream of income. This trend holds true for full- or part-time businesses from the home. According to a recent survey done by the Small Business Administration, "There are more than 17 million home-based businesses, and 93% have no employees." That's an exciting statistic.

The secret of these success stories is they didn't stop partially through the business selection process as so many people do. If you are thinking of developing a home-based business, follow these steps and you'll be on the path to success in no time.
Have a good business plan ready. Not only do you need a business plan but you should also a plan on how this will affect your life. Have answers and strategies for any questions you think you'll face.

Sell a product or service that can be used by as much people as possible with the least amount of effort on their part. While a sale is nice, repeat sales are even better. You want a long-term consumer base with consistent residual and passive income.

You are going to need to market your business and to do so you'll need effective marketing tools. Google's Adwords is a pay-per-click advertising system that works very well for some businesses because it works for you 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

In order to have a chance of your business become a success, you should take some training courses in the field you are specializing in. If you are selling Jeep products, then you better be familiar with Jeeps. Study your competitors and others who have succeeded in the industry. Buy subject oriented books, magazines, videos, software and even seminars. Try establishing a connection with successful individuals who can maybe help you.

One way to meet new people in the industry and gain new ideas is to network. Here you can get the word out about your business and possible make valuable contacts that can help you out down the road. If there is no potential for industry contacts close to where you live, try looking online for online networking sites catering to business owners like you.

The most important rule of running a home based business is to choose an area of your home where you can conduct your business with absolutely no interruptions. Just because you are working at home, doesn't mean your potential customers should be affected with less than satisfactory service. Keep your computer and all paperwork in there and no where else around the house. Set aside a particular time of day to work. Think of this time as your "shift". If you have any kids that like to go online, make sure they stay off of your work computer.

It isn't a bad idea to get a post office box for all work related mail.

Register for a domain and email address exclusive to your business. Once you have that established, promote it on any advertising you do such as business cards or newspaper ads.

Guaranteed To Kill Your Legitimate Home Internet Business

By: Salvatore Scaramuzzino
There are many things you should never do in running a legitimate home business if you hope to succeed. This article will review three of the most deadly sins. If you are already a successful home business owner you are well aware of these huge errors. If you are a new Internet business entrepreneur then these three tips will be very helpful to you. Followed religiously, they could very well spell the difference between survival and failure for any online enterprise.

The first rule is; NEVER skimp on advertising. Without sufficient advertising your business will not be able to reach its full potential. For example, a small business that puts out children's audio CD's is introducing a new product. The business is brand new and practically unknown. The owner was able to put up a website and run a small advertisement in the local newspaper. Only a very limited number of potential buyers are going to be aware of this company and it's product. A more productive campaign would have been advertising in several, larger newspapers and having a much larger presence online. Having a billboard advertisement that can be seen in a heavily trafficked area is also a great idea that can bring a legitimate home business greater income. Offline advertising can be very effective for an online home business. This strategy will cost more, but you will reach a much larger customer base. Without reaching a large number of prospective customers, you are doomed to fail.

The second rule is; NEVER let your guard down in regards to your online business competition. Always keep abreast of what strategies your largest competitors are employing. If your online home business has a competitive market you definitely want to keep this in mind. An example of this is an online book store. You will want to be aware of what the other stores offer. Is there a large selection of books to download or buy? What specific niche are you trying to fill? What are their prices? Do they offer any specials or discounts? You want to keep up with both the larger websites that offer a plethora of options and the smaller sites that deal in products similar to yours. You want to either match what is offered or offer a greater value. Customers always respond to what they perceive as a bargain. The third rule is; NEVER jump into an online home business without doing thorough research. The more time you spend with this step, the more properly prepared your online business will be to flourish from its inception. You want to be sure you know all of the details about the business in which you are involved. You want to know financial potential as well as information about your competition and their business practices. When you take the time to research a specific business niche you maximize your chances for success. You wouldn't want any surprises popping up when it comes to running your legitimate home business. You want to be able to set yourself up so that your Internet business operates as smoothly as possible and is able to earn you a profit as quickly as possible. After all, that profit is your ultimate goal.

If you make an honest effort to follow the above guidelines on what NEVER to do in business, then you are on the right track. You will create a solid foundation for your business's success. Be sure not to rush into any business decision without spending as much time as required to do research and well thought out planning. This behind the scenes work, before you begin a home based business, will be critical to help you make correct choices down the road. Care for your business like you would care for your children. Give it what it needs to grow and you will be ecstatic with the end result. Running a profitable legitimate home based business is like anything else, you can only get out of it what you put into it.The extra time you spend working on your home business will never be wasted, it will go towards your future success. Be sure to keep up with your due diligence, and stay away from the NEVER do behavior, and see how rapidly your business can soar.

Making A Living Out of Completing Paid Surveys

By: Andrew John
If you type "make money at home" phrase in Google, there is a good chance that you will get at least two or three offers of working by completing paid surveys. Such offers look legitimate, but most of them seem to promise you quite a lot - earning $4000 a month just by completing surveys seem to be a really interesting work at home idea, right?

Here's how this business works. Big guys do need to know what customers think about their products and what people think in general. This lets them prepare marketing campaigns and improve their products to fit our needs. They need this so badly that they often pay for the surveys you complete. This is done through a chain of middlemen, of course, who take most of the money as all middlemen do. In the end, you can get anything between $2 and $20 for a single survey completed. The payment depends on the length of the survey and the company which asked for it. Usually you can earn some $20 an hour, provided that you get enough surveys. The problem is that you will not be able to work for more than 2-3 hours a month. They would not have more than 5 surveys a month for you to do. It is technically impossible: there are hundreds of thousands people taking part in such programs and the number of surveys performed is very limited. Generally, you can't hope for more than $50-$100 a month.

To make everything worse, in some situations you have to take into account the possibility that you will not be receiving survey for a few months in a row. It's because most of the time you will fail to qualify for some surveys. If you're young, female, drinking and smoking, your chances grow. If you're old, male and free of bad habits, your chances drop to near zero.

To sum this up: while it is possible to get some money for the surveys, it is a very poor home business idea. With maximum earnings well below $200 a month, trying to rely on surveys alone will make you bankrupt in no time. If you want to work at home full-time, you have to go on looking for some other business idea.

Your Home-Based Business To Work At Home

By: Andrew John
Running one's own home business may be a lot of fun and a good way to make some serious money. The main problem however, is that one has to choose the right business for him. There is no universally good business idea that everyone can successfully put into motion - everything depends on:

Find Out the Number One - There is always one business idea which is most popular at the moment. Learn what it is. Read business forum posts and blogs, talk to other businessmen and read the press. Try to find out what businesses are most popular right now and which of them make real money. You may decide not to copy them, but it will help you a lot if you know what people buy and what they don't.

Skills - Assess your skills. What are you good at? Is anything you can do will be able to help you run a work-at-home business? One of best business ideas you can have is selling things/services you have been doing for years - only to a wider public. Do not shut yourself off believing that you have no such skills - everyone has a few.

Choose Products Wisely - If you are thinking about selling or advertising some products, make sure you enjoy them yourself. Never agree on selling things you do not truly believe in. First, is you are not 100% sure yourself that they work, how can you convince your customers? Then, if you feel your products are below the average quality, chances are you will quickly be swept away from the market. Finally, it is also the matter of honesty and in extreme cases even the consumer organizations. Generally, substandard products are too dangerous and hard to sell to really consider selling them.

Is There Any Support - If you decided to sell third party's products, take a look also at the support they offer for individual sellers. Do they offer any training or professional support or provide you with some "mentor" with 'inside' knowledge? If yes, it's best to take advantage of them - it will make everything much easier. If not however, it's best to look for another opportunities no matter how promising the product looks like. Any honest company would like to really sell their product, right? If so, they should offer some support to individual sellers. If they don't do it, something strange is going on and it's better to leave before you got involved.

Get all pieces of information before you act. Remember that information is the most precious asset you can have in business. Without it you risk making some really bad moves, likes getting involved with selling products no one wants to buy at the moment.

The Secrets to Creating Strong Website Content People Will Actually Read

How many times have you gone to a website, only to discover that the content was filled with nonsense phrases and words that seemed to be repeated over and over? While this website may have been up in the search engine ranks; the content was weak and probably turned off other visitors as well. If you're concerned that your website might not be making the best first impression, you need to learn the secrets to creating strong website content that people will actually want to read. Here's what you need to know.

Find Out What People Want to Read

Instead of simply posting articles that include a lot of keywords, you need to determine what your customers are looking to read about. Whether it's current issues related to your product and services or perhaps it's a problem that your product or service addresses, those are topics that you want to include on your website. These articles will show that you want to help your website visitors, not just sell to them. To find relevant topics, you can head to your favorite search engine and type in your market category and 'news.' You will find a number of listings of things that are being discussed by others in your market that you can turn into article topics.

You might also want to look at your competitor's website to see what articles they are including. These should help you in brainstorming for new article topics, as you don't want to copy their ideas, but you can 'borrow' these ideas for new articles.

Find Someone to Write It All Down

Since most business owners don't have the time to write their own articles for their websites, nor do they feel confident in their writing abilities, you will want to hire a professional copywriter to do this for you. By heading to freelance writing websites (Elance, Guru, etc.), you will be able to post the job that you need done (as in the number of articles, topics, and other details) to see who will bid on your job and then pick a person to complete the work. Since many of these professionals are already well-versed in writing for websites, they can often give you an edge as they already know what readers want to read.

Keep Your Content Fresh

You should continue to update your website content on a monthly basis to show your website visitors that you care about what they are reading and that you are current on the topics that might interest them. You may want to brainstorm a list of fifty topics and then have a freelance writer work on a few of these for each week until you begin to get a sense of what else your visitors want. Take time to read the reports as to what visitors are searching for when they find your site as well as to read the comments that site visitors leave to see if you can address their concerns.

Talk to Your Visitors

Generally speaking, you want to make sure your website content is also suitable for the visitors you hope to attract. That is, if you are trying to connect with a younger market, you will want to use casual language and maybe a little slang. If you are targeting a more conservative market, your language should be more conservative. Always keep in mind the reader you are addressing and be sure they can understand what you are saying and why you are saying it.

With these ideas, you can write new website content that is going to get noticed – and read!

Getting Paid to work from home – Is it real?

By: Matt Legg
More and more people are seeking financial independence and the ability to work for themselves from the comfort of their own home. Myself being one of these people I was determined to find an alternative to working for someone else.

I spent countless hours scouring the internet for opportunities and being built up by their promises and the possibilities of their programs. Making millions on the stock market, making millions through online auctions, a real business you can run from home, make money while you surf. All promising the world and financial independence but there is always a catch, there is always a well hidden disclaimer and there are never any “real” guarantees.

I hate to think how many people have been sucked in to these programs and wasted their money on second rate money making scams. I must admit that I was one of them.

Upon my internet travels I found increasing amounts of sites offering money for completing surveys, giving opinions for cash as it were. Apparently people actually want to know what I think of certain products and services. Being the sceptic I have now become I dug a little deeper. Companies really do pay people good money for their opinions. From watching TV shows to eating at a restaurant, companies will pay to have your opinion to add to their statistics.

After discussions with other members of the online community and after finding others who have entered into these survey’s I found that money could be made, and more importantly for very little effort. The next step was to find a program that worked for me.

Several people recommended 2 or 3 sites to me that could give me these opportunities, but upon paying my registration and getting the information I found that as per usual there was always a catch. While I did get to participate in a few surveys and make some money, I found that the number of surveys and programs I could participate in where far from what I was promised upon joining the program.

As a last resort and final attempt to give the world of paid surveys a go, and resign myself to going back to work I looked at number 4 on the referrals list I had received from a friend. Again, making the same promises and offering the same programs as other sites. I bit the bullet and joined, and without regret. A whole world of paid surveys, and online groups, paid forums, and opinion programs were opened up to me.

I was now finding myself working from home at least 5 hours a day and making good money doing so. Then in the evening I had the time and money to enjoy my new found fortunes, and quite often i would even get paid for that too. Eating at certain restaurants, test driving certain cars, watching various movies, almost everything could make me money. To this day I haven’t looked back and i continue to have financial independence for simply having opinions. Thank you Survey Oasis. www.surveyoasis.net

Need Split Testing Ideas?

By: Jim Stone, Ph.D.
Have you ever wanted to improve your website, but didn't know where to begin? Here are some ideas:

1. The Headline: This is one of the most important factors to test on a web page. If you want to grab your visitor's attention, and have them read the rest of your page, you need to hook them with a good headline. Test several variations to find one that works well. (important)

2. The Stylesheet: If you use a style sheet to set the font styles, sizes, and colors of all your headlines, subheadlines, body text and more, you can test different schemes very easily. This is often worthwhile. If you link to your stylesheet, it can be tough to run the test, depending on the software you're using. So for the test you might want to pull the stylesheet into the head section of your test page.

3. Location Of Testimonials: So you have some great testimonials. Where should you put them. Some marketers tell you to put a good one up right under the headline. Others say to lump them together near the middle. Others run them down the right side of the page. Others put them after the P.S. Statement. Still others weave them into the copy, and place them where they seem to have the most power. This is a great factor to test, even though it might not make as much difference as some might think. Unfortunately, it's difficult to test the location of factors in most javascript-based split testing programs, though with some PHP (or server-side) programs you can test location pretty easily. (medium importance)

4. Your Offer: Do you give them 10% off, or a $100 rebate? Do you offer a free eBook as a bonus? Should you offer three bonuses, or just one? More is not always better. Should you do an upsell before purchase? Or should you do a "One Time Offer" after purchase? These things are extremely important. (important)

5. Text Of Your Order Button: Should your order button say "submit"? Probably not. How about "click here?" Probably not. Well, what about "Yes! Let me Get Started Now!" Probably better. This is an often over-looked place to test. I would recommend testing it, though it's probably not quite as important as the headline or the offer. (medium importance)

6. Referring To Where They Came From: So the visitor clicks on a Google ad, and they come to your site, and it says: "Congratulations for clicking on my Google ad. You have just taken the first step toward . . ." This can have a powerful influence on the user, because it keeps them in their flow of consciousness that started at Google. You can try all kinds of things along this line. (important)

Those are just 6 ideas of many. Please test everything you can think of, but keep track of which things make the most difference for you.

Internet-Marketing: Advantage and Disadvantages

By: Allen Thomason
Internet marketing seems to be a very popular trend now a days to individuals who have opted for conducting an online business. Analyzing your marketing strategy and putting these in right combination to make your marketing efforts effective is what entails a successful business on the net.

An e marketing effort supports the customer base almost round the clock. The helpdesk and support desk facilities, trouble ticket raising options are making it more and more convenient for the clients to opt outsourcing services online. Most of the marketing efforts that cater to the organized sector are open 24 hours and 7 days a week. Moreover, the reach is global and customers feel convenient to shop/communicate anytime they want to.

An offline business could be very resource consuming in terms of cost of advertising and promotion through postal mails and networking similar business partners through tele-calling and organizing physical interactive sessions. In e-marketing, the cost of establishing your presence and networking with identical bloggers is nothing compared to offline business.

In offline business, many efforts are thriving on paperwork that takes much more time to be organized, dispatched, and reached to potential clients. Promotional emails are effective to let your prospects know about your products and services.

In e-marketing, automated tools and/or software does the whole thing. Your clients are updated immediately about any new modifications and alternations in information through RSS feeds. RSS feeds are brilliant way to update information and news in businesses that are information sensitive.

Creating interactive platforms, initiating discussions and bloggers community are the best things that endorse co-operative marketing efforts through collaboration and networking. Unlike an offline business, you do not always need a physical space to initiate and promote communication among similar minds. Virtual presence makes you visible and established in your business domain.

There are few disadvantages of Internet marketing. Though cost effective and time saving, internet marketing is not always free. Hardware safety and quality assurance, software that facilitates the unique business requirements, setting up or tagging with online payment channels, online distribution costs, maintenance of site and upgrading are all the requirements for a successful sustaining business on the net.

Moreover, there are not many people who will enroll as loyal customers in your customer database. While this number grows over the years with time, you will do well to depend on some offline complementary methods that enhance your customer database. Striking a balance between offline efforts and continuing online efforts or a combination of the two actually helps you to highlight your market presence as an entrepreneur.

Internet as a virtual marketplace is still not very acceptable to orthodox buyers who prefer physical interaction and physical review of goods/ services before buying them. Building up the trust that interactions in the virtual world are real and honest is an ongoing process and it would require some more time to achieve this dependence on internet marketers.

There is a lot of competition in e-marketing. People are trying hard to promote diverse products and locate the right niche audience. Since internet marketers do not have faces, it is very difficult to identify with their brand and services unless their sites are exceptionally designed to facilitate more and more user participation and understanding. Marking your presence through your brand and USP could be virtually challenging and time taking process.

Therefore, it is very important that you are aware of the reward and inconveniences of internet marketing before you really strategize to optimize your revenue on the advantages and nullify the disadvantageous effects of virtual e-marketing.

How to Make Money from an Online Business

by: Michael Littles
Most people, who want to know how to make money from an online business go about it the wrong way, and that is why they fail. However, take the right steps and there is no reason why you should join them. There are specific rules in internet marketing that, if followed correctly, can lead to success.

Your first step is to decide what form your business should take. Do you have a product to sell? Have you an offline store that you want to promote online? Have you a specific service to offer, such as teaching people to play an instrument or how to embroider, or do you want to enter the wonderful world of internet marketing without having your own product and sell somebody else's?

You can succeed in any one or more of these, and also any that has not been mentioned, if you go about it the right way. There are certain steps to take that can lead to your success. The first is to get a website. You need your own website for success in an online business. This might be a site that you finance yourself or one that is provided when you enter an internet business program that provides you with the website and products to sell from it.

The latter type of programs work for some and not for others, and it is entirely up to you whether you undertake one or not. Once you get involved in general internet marketing you will become more and more exposed to MLM (multi level marketing) programs that offer you free websites, or even genuine sales sites that provide you with a site from which to sell affiliate products.

Many people find both of these appropriate for them, and there is little you need to do other than recruit others as you were recruited, or sell the products online with which you have been provided. However, let's look at the more traditional type of online marketing, whereby you have your own product to sell online. The first step is to find a web host. Websites are provided by what are known as web hosts, that provide you with the web space on which to display your website to the world, and also the software needed to operate it. You normally pay monthly, and the cost can be from under $5 to over $50, although you can get a very good site for less that $25 a month.

For that, you get webpage design software, unlimited email addresses so that you can have one for each of sales, admin, enquiries and each of your personnel and departments. You can also get autoresponders that answer all of your emails for you, and accept payments/deliver electronic products while you sleep. Your business can virtually be put on autopilot, and even print out order forms for physical goods for you to collect each morning.

If you do not have your own product, your website can be used to sell what are known as affiliate products. These are products that you are selling for the originator, or merchant, for a cut of the sales price. That cut can vary, but for electronic products such as software and ebooks, it is generally around 50%. That is a great deal. You get 50% of the sales price of every product you sell, and some can be as much as $97 or much more.

Many people make $10,000s monthly selling other people's products, but if you have your own product it is even better since you get 100%! You can then start up your own affiliate program and pay others 50% to make sales that you otherwise would not have had. You can make a lot of money online that way.

Sometimes there is no need to sell a product at all to make money online. You can earn money by allowing Google to place adverts on your webpages by means of a program known as Google Adsense. When you join the Adsense program, you allow Google to scan your web page and using their latent semantic analysis program (sometimes called latent semantic index) Google decides what the topic of your web page is.

They then put adverts on your web page from the Google Adwords program, which are relevant to the perceived topic of your page. Each page is considered separately. Some people make a lot of money this way, though the average is a few dollars a day. However, if you are making $5 daily from a website, and then add one website a week, then within six months you will have 26 sites providing you with $130 daily, or around $4,000 monthly. Do that for two years and you are at $16,000 monthly.

The secret of how to make money from an online business is repetition: find what works and do it again and again and again. Even if you have only one product, sell it from dozens of websites. Apply repetition wherever you can and you will find it difficult to fail. Not all of your websites will succeed, but enough will to matter.

Choose the Right Name for Your Work at Home Business

So you've decided to create a work at home business. That's great. This will probably be a very exciting and interesting time for you. One of the critical thing before starting your work at home business is the name of your business. What's in a name? Well, people create pictures and imagery when they hear the name of a business. You want your name to create positive thoughts and imagery. Here are some tips that will help you in choosing the right name for your work at home business.

Give yourself time to come up with the right one – A lot of people get in a hurry because they're excited. They want to get started right away. They end up jumping on a name that they might not be happy with because they don't give enough time or thoughts to come up with the name that they will truly like.

Which thoughts and feelings does the name you choose for your work at home business need to convey? Do you want to express feelings of wealth and success? What if you're in the cosmetics business? You will probably want to express feelings of beauty and class.

Choosing the right name can be extremely important. Think about what people are going to feel when they hear the name of your business. Is it a name that will make them curious enough to check it out? Is it boring, or something they probably won't care to look into? This is a very important part of choosing the right name for your work at home business.

Come up with more than one name – Make it a goal to try and come up with ten or so names that you could use for your company. This will help you brainstorm, and will definetly help you to find a great name for your business.

Let's use a dessert type business for an example. This company has the finest sweets that you can buy. Check these examples for names that might work. Look at each name and see what kind of thoughts and feelings it conveys. Sweet Things, The Cookie Company, Better Bites, Sweet Sensations, Taste of Heaven, Creamy Confections, or Oven Magic.

Do you see how there can be a multitude of different feelings for each name? Creamy Confections might make you think of eating something delicious and creamy and sweet, while Oven Magic might make you think of an oven cleaning product. This is why you really need to make a good list of names and think about each one.

Get Some Outside Input – Work with a friend or family member that will be completely honest with you. Have them think of each name and tell you which one they would be more likely to check out. Which one makes them want to go to the company's website, or read more about them? This will help get some insight into what potential customers will think of each name.

Check for Availability – If this is an online business, you will want to check for domain availability before you decide on the one you will go with. For a business with a physical location, you may want to check with a lawyer to determine whether your business name is available or not.

Use the tips and ideas above to come up with the name that will be right for you. Don't rush yourself into coming up with a name quickly. Take the time to come up with something that will help the image and success of your company.

Why Sleep is the Hidden Secret of Business Success

by: Robert Greenshields
What if I could tell you a powerful secret that would help you prevent stress from even getting started? I can, and I will – but it's so simple that you might be tempted to disregard it.

The secret is: get enough sleep! I told you it was simple.

But think about it for a minute. How do you feel when you're really tired and run down? Cranky, right? Impatient. Frustrated. Short-tempered. Stressed.

When you're tired, you don't have the mental or physical stamina you need to meet your daily demands. You just don't. It's like trying to run an appliance on limited power. You'll either get poor performance, or glitches will occur so it doesn't run properly.

Yet the busier we get, the more tempting it is to skimp on sleep. Please don't do that to yourself.

How much sleep you need each night will be individual to you. Some people require only 6 hours, while others might need 9 or 10 hours to be fully functional.

Experiment to determine your optimal amount of sleep - and then stick to it!

I know it's terribly tempting to stay up later than you should, but you pay dearly for it the next day. If you get into the habit of giving your body and mind the rest they need, you'll reap so many wonderful benefits. Not only will you feel more energetic, you'll be able to concentrate better, accomplish more in less time, AND avoid feeling so stressed out.

Bonus tip: Of course, secondary to getting enough rest is also CHOOSING not to get stressed. Many of us tend to let outside influences affect our state of mind. One little thing happens and our mood is ruined for the entire day. Don't let that happen to you! If you find yourself starting to get stressed, get away for a few minutes - even if you have to sneak into the restroom to take a few deep breaths.

Start your day with a strong intention to stay calm and focused, no matter what else is going on around you. It may take a bit of practice to control your thoughts and emotions when it counts, but it's a habit that will continue to serve you well for the rest of your life.

These are just small pieces of the puzzle. Another important part of time management is learning to be kinder to yourself, did you know that? It's not about forcing yourself to do more or be more. It's about creating a life that honors you and reflects who you really are. Giving your body the rest it needs is just one part of the process!

Home Based Business: The Secret of Working Multiple Steams of Income Without Knowing How to Swim or Losing Your Mind!

by: Robin Rushlo
Back many years ago-when being in MLM meant you were either in Amway or Shaklee - there was only one way to work a program. You made your prospect list in the small spiral notebook that you carried everywhere- because you never knew when you'd remember the name of someone who wasn't on your list yet! You wrote down everyone on your Christmas card list, anyone you did business with, all the names in your high school year book-yes, everyone you had ever known-including your mother-in-law (no-prejudging now!) and even those you thought you knew. Then you sat down (since no cells phones were around) and started the hard part of this NEW business. You called each name on your list to tell them you had something important that you needed their opinion on and was Tuesday or Thursday better for them? We NEVER gave any information over the phone! To understand this new marketing concept a person had to "see the plan"! Get those people and bring them to the meeting! Tell them that you'd be in their neighborhood anyway (OK, so they lived 30 miles from you) so you'd be happy to pick them up!

Then a man in a navy blue suit with a red tie (the woman in her pastel shirtwaist dress would be sitting on the side of the stage with a beauty pageant smile... and never take their eyes off of HIM! ). He would stand up and draw circles on a white board to show us how we too could be free and living on the beaches of the world! We'd all take notes and make encouraging, enthusiastic comments to our prospect... who was lost in that maze of circles we knew and loved so well.Does anyone else remember those days? I do And I did that for over 30 years of my 37 years in this industry. Be very thankful that you do because we all learned a lot from the MLM giants. I bet you've still got your old Amway tapes too!!! Can you even imagine trying to do Amway on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Shaklee on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday??? Of course not! It would be impossible!

Today is the age of technology. Today we contact each other all over the world-in seconds by fax, by phone, by computer , by webcasts, webnairs, and even IM. We meet and greet our prospects by letter and postcard, by ads in magazines and newspapers and on the INTERNET. It used to be how we'd try to convince our mothers-in-law that they just needed to "get in" and draw circles and they would get rich! They took one l-o-n-g look at us and somehow were not convinced. Then if your mother-in-law would the apply to the Federal Witness protection program so you can not find her when you find the Next pot of gold.Today we are EXPERTS, because no matter how little we know when we get on the phone with someone who has requested our information, we know more than they do. You are the expert even if you are in the program for one day you know more about the program than they do. No more three way calls."We all work as a team on this one, friend! I had great results with Product X-and I'd be happy to share this information with all your people, too!" So what about multiple programs??? Back in the days, we bought soap and vitamins. Now we get our office, our food, our telephone service, our health products, even our vacations can be purchased MLM. As a distributor (today often known as IC-Independent Consultant or MA-Marketing Associate) you can purchase products at a lower cost even if you never intend to market the program!

Some programs just go hand in hand. For example, almost anyone who is in MLM now wants to purchase leads that is names, addresses and phone numbers of people actually looking for a business opportunity. This is a service and a product-that you should have available for your downline. Instead of sending your people to me for leads -- doesn't it make sense that they come to you? Will a lead program jeopardize what you are doing with your primary company? Of course not, it can only enhance it! Sometimes people may actually make money faster in the lead program than in your primary one. So what happens? They stay with you in both, of course, because obviously you know about these great programs and they certainly want to stay with the person who helps them to get a check!Having more than one program can also make your prospecting so much easier. Suppose you and Elena have gotten to know each other. You are both in different nutrition companies you love. She says "I wish there was a way we could work together! It would be so much fun and we'd make a great team!" In the past it would be wishful thinking. Today, you can say , "Well, I understand why you are so excited about Company X. I feel that way about my company, too. I do have something you might be interested in though. Do you drink coffee? (...need good MLM leads?... a computer program to keep track of your downline? ...like the idea of earning free Long Distance Service? ...ever wish you could eat wonderful gourmet food and make money too?)

In the early days, we had product pick up from our sponsor's home... then our people would come the next day and pick up from us. There were deliveries to make and downline bonus checks to write. Today is soooo much easier. You introduce Elena to your coffee company for instance. She buys directly from them the only thing you handle is your downline report... and your check! Do you see how easily this can be done? Many of the heavy hitters in MLM suggest you work one program and work it hard! They knew more than I did -- they were heavy hitters, right? I built a large group in nine countries, working from my bedroom office with my babies playing on the floor. The company went through a major upheaval and all my work was lost! All that time and money invested! Gone! So this time I searched for several companies that could be worked together, complimenting each other. I talked to some of my contacts from the old company and things started moving again. In less than 2 months working several programs we were back on track and moving forward again!
Sometimes I hear about how it can't be done or how I'll never make millions this way. That's OK. I don't need to make millions. Billions are easier, But as I tell the naysayers, with the companies and uplines I have chosen I have found financial freedom and more importantly than that" I intend to take a heck of a lot of people with me!

If you’ve got the drive and determination to make a go at earning an income from home in your spare time, I’ll reveal to you these 2 fun ideas.

1) Mystery Shopper. How would you like to have a nice meal at a fine restaurant and get you meal paid for? When you become a mystery shopper that can be accomplished. Here is what you will be doing in a nutshell. Many large and small companies hire mystery shoppers to go out and visit a store or restaurant to see how they have been treated during their visit. You will be give specific instructions on what to look for such as service, kindness to their customers and cleanliness of the store. You will be taking mental notes on all of these areas and then go home and fill in the mystery shopper form for evaluation. You will then mail it in along with your receipt for the meal. You will be reimbursed for you meal and also for your time spent for your evaluation. A mystery shopper gets paid anywhere from $5 to $45 per assignment and travel expenses on top of that if they request that you need to travel. If you love pets, and have a burning desire to create your own business from home, this idea is a great way to do it. What you will do is offer your services of walking a client’s dog for a few hours per day for a fee. It’s important that you have a good knowledge of dog handling and learn the necessities of dog obedience under your belt. Offer to the dog’s owner that you will go to their house, pick up their dog and take them out on a leash for a few hours per day. You could take them to the local dog park and give the dog their exercise and play with them. Then bring them back home, make sure the dog is fed and provide some water for them before you leave. You could then go to the next house and do the same thing again. You could easily charge $20-$25 per dog for this service. If you felt comfortable taking several dogs at a time to the park, this could be a nice steady income for you for a long time. You could earn a nice income from home and get a nice healthy dose of exercise as well.

McGinest all business on return ‘home’

Scott Petrak
The Chronicle-Telegram
BEREA — At 35, Willie McGinest has experienced just about everything in professional football. But he’s never seen the Patriots standing on the opposite sideline, like he will Sunday in Foxborough, Mass.
McGinest was the Patriots’ No. 4 overall pick in 1994 and spent the first 12 years of his career in New England before joining the Browns last year. The teams didn’t play last year.
“It’s going to be a little special to get to go back where you played for so long and see your friends, but at the end of the day this is a business trip and we’ve got to prepare and get ourselves ready to play,” he said Friday. “It can’t be a big reunion and party because I’m going back to New England. We’re there to win a ballgame.”
McGinest’s season debut last week followed preseason back surgery to repair a bulging disk. He was credited with three tackles, but his impact was greater. He helps get everyone in the right position and is almost immovable against the run.
“He certainly gave them a presence there on the edge like he always does, like we know he can,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said.
McGinest talks to members of the Patriots all the time, including this week.
“Willie was like the godfather of this locker room for a long time, and I hate to see him in another jersey,” New England quarterback Tom Brady said. “But nobody has as much respect as this team does for Willie and what he’s done and what he continues to do. When you see him play against Baltimore last week, it looks like he’s 25.
“He’s such a great guy and a great friend and I’m going to try to be as nice as I can this week so he doesn’t body slam me, which I’m sure he’s been looking forward to for a very long time.”

Cribbs note

The Browns are trying to work Joshua Cribbs, already a special teams standout, into the offense more.
“We have a package and have some things for him,” offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski said. “He’s playing more receiver under more normal situations for us. The package will continue to grow. Josh is a playmaker.”
Cribbs caught a pass for 7 yards in the opener and has seen time in three-receiver formations. He ran an end-around for 11 yards in Week 2, and has run from the quarterback spot once in each of the last two games. Cribbs was a quarterback at Kent State and is itching for the chance to throw a pass. He sometimes works on his form in practice.
“It’s caught my eye,” Chudzinski joked.

Injury report

Punter Dave Zastudil (back) was listed as questionable. He’s missed three of the four games but returned to full practice this week. “It’s still day to day,” he said. “I’m doing everything possible to be ready Sunday.”
With veteran Scott Player performing well the last two games, the Browns can afford to wait until Zastudil is 100 percent.
Guard Eric Steinbach (neck stinger) and defensive end Orpheus Roye (knee) are questionable and expected to play. Tight end Kellen Winslow (shoulder), McGinest (back) and linebacker Antwan Peek (foot) are probable, as is kicker Phil Dawson, who was excused from practice for a personal reason.

Extra points

Romeo Crennel was voted Motorola Coach of the Week for the 27-13 win over the Ravens. He beat out Atlanta’s Bobby Petrino and Arizona’s Ken Whisenhunt.
• Chudzinski said the Browns would probably make a decision on Ryan Tucker’s roster status today. Tucker is coming off a four-game steroids suspension and must be activated by Monday. Tucker said he’s been working exclusively at right tackle.
• Receiver Joe Jurevicius had tickets for Friday night’s Tribe game.
