It’s time for me to make a huge list! I’ll give this technique a try, Some of the techniques below are old, but some are new, some are web 1.0 (Actually web 1.0 is not even a word ), and some are web 2.0, some are funny., some are not, some are boring, some aren’t. These are just the things that pop out of my mind when writing. So if I get something wrong don’t be shy to correct me.

Create a LinkBait – Like what I’m doing
Submit press releases – PrWeb is a good site to submit on
Bookmark your site – To social bookmarking websites, i.e. digg, del.icio.us, reddit
Ping! – Ping your blog every after you write an article, Try Pingoat.com
Post or answer a question at Yahoo Answers – Then add your link in it! (Do they even moderate that site?!)
Review products – If you bought something at amazon or ebay, write them a review then put your url in it.
Make groups – like Google and Yahoo groups, and then include your URL in it (but don’t look spammy)
Hold Contests – Give away Tees, Links, Ipods, gadgets or whatever people like.
Have an e-mail siggy – Put your URL in your siggy when contacting someone through e-mail.
Become friends – with someone popular offline and maybe he can promote you! (hihiihihihihihihi)
Always have a brand – You know the logo and your sites color or even the way you talk!
Join mybloglog – it’s a good way of socializing.
Create a lens – Not lens for the eyes, a squidoo lens that is!
Pick a wide niche – A niche that many people that would love.
Don’t be Boring - Pull off some jokes from time to time ;)
Make blogger blogs that link to your main blog – Don’t make them spammy looking ;)
Post George Bush’s funny pics! – Proven technique! Will give you a lot links!
Always update your blog – Update frequently so people would visit your blog frequently also.
Create a MySpace account – Yes, myspace marketing. Make as many friends as you can!
Join Friendster – It’s a lot like MySpace, but more Asians.
Make a tool that people would love to link to – keyword tools, pagerank prediction, backlink checker, etc…
Give away free online games – like what miniclip is doing, many kids would link to you in their personal blog or even their myspace or friendster account.
Be controversial – This always attracts a lot of people!
Make an E-Book – Ads profit and traffic! (make easy money online)
Add translations – Most importantly, Chinese
Offer them to subscribe to your feed - Politely :D
Make a content that is worth buying – Then you give it free, Sounds crazy but it attracts loads of people.
Write Articles then submit it – This is old school but it works!
Write with emotions – Replace words like big, many with huge and loads. This will make your readers reading with emoition.
Place alt tags – Placing an alt tag on your pictures will surely help you get a higher Search Engine ranking.
Create an e-mail list – Then every after your letter, put your url in it.
Make a Favicon – To be recognized easier when you are on a bookmarking list
Use the sociable plugin – It ads all the known bookmarking websites and puts it in your posts. This makes bookmarking easier for your readers.
Always Validate – This helps search engines navigate to your site easier. (This I don’t do :D )
Redirect – URL’s with www and without have different rankings, so redirect either one of those two to get all the rankings and backlinks to combine for improved SE ranking./for owners od domains)
Optimize your H1, H2, etc – Almost all search engines base on the h tags so be sure to optimize it with the right keywords.
Give away Tees – And put your URL on it. In that way, you get online and offline exposure ;)
List your site to Craigslist – It’s just sooooooo good to get free links!
Submit your site to Dmoz – PR8!? Wow!
Comment on blogs – This is a good way to maximize your exposure and also, make friends.
Make a Joke on someone – Then add your url on it. This may work.
Make a funny video – Then submit it to youtube, revver, google video, metacafe, etc… Then place your URL on the video.
Submit Themes – With your link on it!
Submit Screensavers – This may work ;)
Choose the right anchor texts – You should optimize your keywords to get better SE (search engines) rankings so if you have control of your anchor texts, choose the least competitive but high searches.
Donate – Donate on someone’s site that lists all the people who donated. Don’t be cheap!
Give a free e-book – Make it unique as possible. An attractive e-cover will help.
Pay the nearest internet caf – To make your site the homepage of their computers.
Contact the webmaster of your school – Tell him to add your link in the footer (http://www.domain.edu/ if you have ;))
Don’t use flash as much as possible – This may irritate your readers.
When you’re on the beach, list your URL’s on the sand – Your URL have the possibility to be seen by plane. That can give you tons of traffic! Just imagine how many people are in one passenger plane!
Encourage readers to bookmark you – Leaving a sentence or two after your article would be nice.
Add a sitemap – This helps search engines recognize you more.
Use attractive headlines – Take this for example: Blogger vs. WordPress
Microsoft Sucks! – If you haven’t observed. A lot of digg’s frontpagers have this story.
Get a StumbleUpon toolbar – Then Stumble all of your pages and invite your friends and chat mates to stumble your site too.
Redirect your 404 page – Redirecting it to your homepage would help lost visitors.
Invite guest writers – Your readers could be one! It’s free!
Give out newsletters – encourage people to subscribe to your newsletter.
Give free graphics - Remember to add your URL on it.
Submitting on not-so popular social bookmarking sites - It’s easier to get to the frontpage there, so if you don’t have the guts to get to digg’s frontpage, a better thing is to go there.
Use your posts as the url in comments - This gives a specific post tons of traffic if you comment a lot.
Strive to get to the top commentators - This may give you a temporary stable traffic.
Trade Articles - Hehehehe, I tried this only a couple of times.
Hire ghosts - Ghost writers that is! Let them write for you then submit it on article directories.
Exchange links - It’s a good start. It will help you to be recognize more.(dont beg,ever !)
Give people free samples - Like an e-book, a software or something that useful
Create a huge list - An article that says “69 Ways to Boost your Web Exposure!” Hehehehehe ;)
PPC – Pay Per Click, it’s still the fastest and most effective way but of course, it costs you moolah.
Ping at ping services always when you post article on your blog.. (every post every ping)
Post your/share comments on blogs of top players (problogger, johnchow, make money online with gurumonetizer)

8 Ways To Launch Your Real Estate Internet Marketing Career

Here is a list of 8 ways you can launch your real estate internet marketing career and start gettting leads and selling homes through your personal web sites..

1.) Buy a domain with top "city" real estate, homes, or houses type keywords. Buy a domain name with phrases that are most commonly search. GoDaddy has domain for $8.95 (search "godaddy promo code" for 10% discounts). Get a hosting account. It's $3.95 per month! If you can't afford it, you can't afford to be a Realtor.

2.) Spend hours and hours reading about SEO (search engine optimization)! Stay up till 4 am if you have too. You can always find the time, just don't sleep as much ;). Don't ever pay a cent to telemarketers who call you promising #1 Google results. It's a scam! If they are in fact excellent internet marketers (as they all suggest), wouldn't you of found them on the Internet....think about it??? And trust me, when your site(s) start ranking, the dirtbags will start calling like crazy! I do not mean to imply all SEO companies are dirtbags, there are some fantastic companies out their doing fanstatic things. Seek them out if you wish to outsource your SEO. Ironically, they are not hard to find! Be prepared to spend big bucks for top SEO companies or spend big hours learning to do-it-yourself. Nothing is free in this world and good things never come cheap. Don't be a sucker Realtor!

3.) Join, read, and participate on forums such as RealEstateWebmasters, AgentsOnline, and ActiveRain.

4.) Learn HTML and Buy HTML Editing Software. I use Dreamweaver and I swear by it. I started out using MS Frontpage and it sucks more than Richard Simmons! FP adds a bunch of unnecessary code to your pages. Macromedia's Dreamweaver is very-user friendly and provides three ways to view your pages while editing: WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), HTML view, or split screen (where you see both WYSIWYG and the HTML at the same time)....absolutely amazing for learning HTML as your build pages!!! You don't have to know HTML thoroughly if you're using HTML editing software, but at least develop a working knowledge of tags and editing pages by cutting and pasting code. HTML is, by far, one of the easiest codes to learn. After about 15 minutes of reading you will know basic page structure. Don't be cheap: Pony up the $$$$ for good software! It will save you hundreds of hours annually.

5.) Start building your site and adding pages. Write lots of unique content for "city" real estate, homes, realtors, etc. keywords and keyword phrases. Never, ever copy content from any site. Write it yourself or pay a ghostwriter from sites such aselance.com. Don't be a hack!

6.) At this point, hopefully you have completed a few profitable transactions from your internet leads and have a little cash. Reinvest your money in custom IDX solutions (see wiki - Internet Data Exchange. Most buyers get online to search homes for sale. They want listings, not a Realtor.

7.) Develop a solid follow up system for your prospects who call and email you - From my experience, people who pick up the phone and call you are the most motivated. Find out how they need help and take care of them! I've sold homes within a week to internet leads, but most people are 6 to 12 months away from making a decision (including choosing a Realtor). They get online to gather information such as home prices, real estate market reports, market values in areas of interest, schools, neighborhoods, etc. Provide it to them and provide it FAST! Keep your name playing in your prospect's head with your follow up phone calls and emails. Every buyer and seller has a different situation and timeframe. Find out their needs and fulfill them!

8.) Get as many incoming links as possible pointing back to your web site. Not only to your homepage, but deep within your site structure. Be careful of reciprocal links. Don't ever link to an Advanced Access or Z57-type sites. They suck and your link is worthless if it's not on the homepage. Obtain links only from web sites relevant to real estate. An incoming link from a basketweaving site will carry little weight. To put it as simply as possible: The more connected you are throughout to the World Wide Web, the more Google love you will receive! Google Love = Traffic = Homes Sold = Food on the table and shoes for the kiddos!

#2. Invest in yourself. Now, I know that making an investment in yourself is sometimes a hard thing to do. Lord knows you may have been conditioned to place everybody else's welfare ahead of our own, or maybe it just ended up that way.

But know this, any goals will take longer to achieve if you're not prepared to invest in learning the things you need to learn. Aren't you worth it?

Home Business Limits Face Court Challenge

After months of meetings and debates, the battle over the operation of home-based child-care services in Lansdowne has moved to Loudoun Circuit Court.

The Lansdowne HOA membership voted Aug. 29 against amending covenants to permit home child-care operations for up to five children on a 255 to 217 vote.

Rory Clark, an attorney representing child-care providers in Lansdowne, had filed an initial lawsuit that challenged the legitimacy of the HOA's power to hold a vote to change the covenants.

During Clark's a hearing on that request, Loudoun County Circuit Court Judge James Chamblin said he would not grant such an injunction because he felt the court should not step in until after a vote had taken place. Chamblin said the amendment could be defeated and negate the charges in Clark's first lawsuit, which ultimately occurred.

The Lansdowne HOA board considered the vote to have been the final determination by the community on the issue of whether the covenants should be changed to allow more flexibility to operate home-based businesses in Lansdowne.

However, Clark filed a second suit Aug. 24 against the HOA that asks for a court ruling on whether the covenants are ambiguous. He has claimed that because his clients feel the covenants are ambiguous, only a court judge's decision can give his clients satisfaction. But Clark said if the matter can be resolved before a court hearing, he would withdraw the current lawsuit as well.

"Nothing is urgent right now. We don't want to incur any extraordinary expenses. If we understand they are going to become aggressive, we'd have to respond. We have our case filed and ready to go, if need be. We're still awaiting [the HOA's] response [to the active lawsuit]. Once [we hear their response], we'll decide what needs to be done," Clark said.

The newest suit points out that the child-care providers are fully licensed and are compliant with all state and local laws, including the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance. The complaint also said the HOA sent letters to the child-care providers stating that home child-care services were permitted.

One letter, addressed to resident Jamie White, dated Aug. 22, 2005, said, "the board decided that in-home offices should be allowed with certain stipulations and guidelines as further outlined in Section 7.24 of the covenants. Your home daycare is allowed as long as you obtain all necessary approvals and licenses for such use as required by Loudoun County."

Then in a letter dated Dec. 13, 2006, the HOA covenants manager informed child-care providers Hussein and Heba El-Sharkawi that they were in violation of the covenants, citing Policy Resolution No. 8 - Home Business: Daycare Center.

According to Heba El-Sharkawi, six child care providers and two customers have filed litigation since the vote results were announced: child care providers Jamie and Joseph White, Yohanes Kifle, Fulvia DiBenedetto, El-Sharkawi and her husband Hussein, Patricia Warner, and Oksana and Brian Downs; and parents Janine Leete and David Nemetz.

Clark said he is not seeking a compromise from the HOA that would infringe on local zoning laws, but authority for these businesses to operate just as they do in other areas of the county. "We're not looking to go beyond anything legal."

"If there's something that can be done to work it out outside of court, we're definitely open to it. But if it does go to court, we feel confident the ruling will go along with the earlier [Virginia Supreme Court] decision [on a separate home business case]," Clark said.

In an earlier court date, Clark filed a motion stating that Lansdowne's covenants were ambiguous, which is the focus of the current lawsuit. Clark cited a June 8 Virginia Supreme Court decision in which the court ruled that when a community's covenants are ambiguous, they should be viewed in favor of free use of land.

Kenneth Chadwick, of Chadwick, Washington, Moriarty, Elmore & Bunn of Washington, DC, represents the HOA. Repeated attempts to contact Chadwick were not successful.

The HOA board told residents that legal costs incurred by ongoing litigation might be covered by the HOA's insurance policy.

Butch Porter, a child-care customer who is not involved in the lawsuit, said even if the amendment had been approved through the homeowner vote, there would still be financial strains put on the providers.

"Four kids can't pay the mortgage," Porter said. "That 'compromise' [of a maximum of five children] was a deal breaker."

Although the child-care operations would not have to shut down immediately under the HOA action, it will cause problems for many of the clients, Porter said.

"When your kids are under 2, there aren't a lot of alternatives. I really don't want to switch," he said.

Porter went on saying that the larger problem with the covenants is that the child-care providers rely on their home businesses as a livelihood.

"We're talking about people having to sell their houses," Porter said.

No court hearing date has been set.

Up to this point, you've begun to know and understand something about what's important to your prospects. By asking questions, you have determined what's working for them and what is not. Now it's time to embellish this area of discontent in their lives. Assist your prospects to get in touch with the pain of what's not working and make the costs of their problems real for them. You are now ready to present the possibility of a solution to their needs. Again, you must be engaged in a two-way conversation with your prospect. If you are doing all of the talking, they're probably not listening. So go back and ask more questions.As you direct the course of the conversation with questions, you're also fulfilling your prospects' need to dominate the conversation by answering those questions. So ask the question, then let your prospect answer without interruption. Your listening will dictate where the conversation should go as your questions anticipate and preempt many potential objections.

With rapport established and an understanding for your prospects' needs in place, you are now ready to share a little bit about your opportunity as it relates to those benefits you perceive to be of importance to them. Here, don't just show and tell about your products; speak of the benefits that can be realized as a result of the products, the company and the opportunity. Speak to your prospect's emotions and share those benefits which address the pain in their lives. Continue to keep the emphasis on the prospect--not the products.

Keep your conversation clear, focused, succinct and powerful. The longer you ramble, the greater the risk of turning off your prospect. And never pressure your prospects into a decision; instead, support them in arriving at their own decision-and NEVER argue! "A man convinced against his will remains of the same opinion still."As you recount the benefits of becoming involved in your opportunity, remember that until your prospect is convinced of what you are saying, your benefits live only as claims. So, to ground these claims in facts, tell stories.Get to know the stories of all your company's most successful leaders. "Facts smell-stories sell." So "prove" your benefit claims with appropriate evidence, testimonials and stories.During this process, it's vitally important to maintain your "posture". Remember you are the expert. Enthusiasm is essential to attract dynamic leaders, but it is also equally important not to convey a sense of desperation. Remember, you would love to have your prospect join you in partnership-AND you don't need them to do so. Maintaining such a posture creates tremendous freedom for your prospect to choose to join you-or not. It also infers a sense of abundance rather than scarcity. Remember, there are plenty of other people who would love to be your partner if the timing is not right for this particular prospect.

Throughout the entire rapport-building process, questioning and sharing of benefits, most of your prospect's objections will have been dissolved. At each juncture in the conversation, check out how your prospect "feels" (never "thinks") about a particular point or benefit. These checks allow you to gauge the course of the conversation while providing an opportunity for objections to surface and be given clear voice. Keep firmly in mind the fact that a sincere objection is the sign of sincere interest. As such, objections should be welcomed as great opportunities to educate and enlighten. While objections may, on the surface, appear logical, most often they are really emotional in nature. They merely indicate a concern of your prospect which, once satisfied, will only strengthen their desire to join you.

Again, objections need to be embellished, as in, "I know what you mean, I had a similar concern until..." and so forth. In the end, prospects will be more concerned with benefits than answered objections. So don't get bogged down with them, but do look for opportunities to get your prospect "complete" with them so that you both can continue to focus on the benefits of your opportunity as they relate to your prospect's life. If conducted properly, at the end of your prospecting conversation, the value of your opportunity and the possibilities of a fit for the prospect will have been established. The "close" then is nothing more than the natural conclusion to the conversation. All of the objections will have been handled and the prospect will be left with a few simple choices of how he or she might proceed to get started and what the next action will be.

In summary, each prospecting conversation should be entered into with an intended result, viewed as the beginning of a potential life-long relationship. Possibilities for the prospect's needs, wants, and dreams will have begun to be explored. Equally important, the prospect will have begun to explore the distinctions of partnershipping, commitment and vision-all keys to true, fulfilling Network Marketing success.And in the end, the prospect will be left with the sense that Network Marketing goes way beyond any particular product or company or opportunity--that at its essence, it is simply about honoring people and creating new possibilities for their lives.

Success in Network Marketing depends on a distributor really getting a number of key skil sets.. These skill sets go far beyond mere information, training and sales techniques. The truly successful MLMer actually becomes these skill sets. Let me explain.

The vast majority of sales techniques and selling knowledge used in the direct sales industry were developed in the "product-oriented" space age of the ‘50s and ‘60s. The focus was on product, good products, new products, revolutionary products! Selling such products was simply a matter of convincing your prospect of their value after explaining all of their benefits. This simple show and tell technique worked great in the industrial age and still has its applications in certain markets and instances. However, unlike the product-oriented past, today we're in the midst of a people-oriented society. This is where Network Marketing comes into play.MLM is about people and relationships. Sure, there have to be great products; there usually are. And sure, they need to enhance the quality of life for those purchasing them; they usually do. But there's more.MLM is about people getting control of their lives (WHYS) , following their dreams(GOALS) , living their values AND supporting (SERVANT LEADER) other people to do the same. That's why typical "sales people" usually fail miserably in MLM. They're so indoctrinated in product that they lose sight of the fact that this is a PEOPLE business. That's why so many distributors never really make it. Their focus is in the wrong place; either on product or on making themselves a lot of money-both of which are relatively unimportant to everyone else in the world.

Network Marketing is about relationships. Period. That's why the old theory of "throw enough mud against the wall and see what sticks" does not work. Rather, it's about YOU partnering (TEAMWORK) with others to help them realize their dreams--and then it's about those people partnering with others to help them realize theirs, and so forth. It's about you committing to the success of others-a 100 percent commitment on your part, never "50-50" as you may have been led to believe. This is where the power of MLM lies! It lies in relationships-emotional, committing, contributing, empowering relationships. And whatever it is you contribute to others will come back to you-ten-fold! What the upline is willing to do the downline will do and what the upline will not do the downline will not do, lead by example.

With this in mind, the successful distributor simply keeps focused on the other person. This does not mean a 30-minute monologue on the value of the products or how great the company is or what you are doing. It's really about listening--instead of speaking. Listening to what's important to the other person. Hearing their concerns, commitments, and dreams. What's missing in their lives? What are their values and where are they not honoring them? It's about developing a vision of what an ideal life might look like--a life without regrets. It's about seeing only possibilities for life instead of stops. "OK-so how do you get there?" Great question. Let's start at the beginning-with prospecting. When you first approach a new prospect you are most likely an intrusion into his or her life. Prospects have their own concerns, pressures and agenda of the day. These commonly result in some degree of resistance to taking the time and effort to listen to what you have to say or offer. So, your first objective is to break this invisible resistance by getting their attention.

The best way to do this is usually by talking to them about something they are interested in-usually themselves. Some call this "building rapport." After all, since Network Marketing is a people business, what better way is there to begin a new relationship than by truly getting to know your prospect? Do this by asking questions about them-what they do, their hobbies, passions, family, where they're from, what they like to do in their spare time, etc. Ask a question, then listen. Listen to what they say AND to what they do not say. Call them by name. Offer a sincere acknowledgment, if appropriate. In short, get to know them.

Next, look to create interest for them. From your listening, you will have determined much of what is important to them and what's missing in their lives, i.e. where you and your opportunity might be a contribution. If you create enough interest, no prospect will be too busy. We humans are all tuned into the same radio station--WII-FM (What's In It For Me?). Peak their interest; arouse their curiosity to learn more.Don't even think of continuing with your conversation until you've successfully done this much. If you need to spend the entire first conversation building rapport, getting to know them, do so. It's better than steam rolling into your monologue of what's important to you before you set the stage for them to want to listen to what you have to say. You will never successfully enroll a prospect before you have "created a listening."
